Higher Education in Las Vegas and Southern Nevada

With its emphasis on a service economy Las Vegas has a population with a lower average level of education than the rest of the U.S. That statistic could change with all the higher education opportunities becoming available.

Las Vegas, being a city of specialized and unique business opportunities, is obliged to offer college degrees and specialized training that will teach the skills necessary to fill the employment positions that are available in the fastest-growing city in the United States.

The largest and best-known school in the Las Vegas area is the University of Nevada-Las Vegas.
