Small, simple, clean place, plastic table tops, with 29 seats. I used to frequent their #1 place on Geary Blvd years ago, which is no longer there. The cook-owner, Amy, is now at Monterey Blvd, doing the same wonderful burgers that she does so well. This is one of the few places in the City that serves a one-pound (16 oz) burger, as a double 8-oz burger (2 patties).
 Burgers at Big Joe's Broiler come with mayo, tomatoes, lettuce, pickle. The 1/2 lb burger is $3.45, with cheese $3.75. The 1/2 lb burger, on French roll, with cheese, bacon and fries $5.45. The double burger yes, 16 ozs or 1 lb with cheese, bacon & fries $7.45. Of course, theres enough here to take home for another meal.

When ordering a burger, French fries, where not shown, are additional at 95 cents.

Also, entree with salad or vegetables, mashed potatoes or fries, $6.45, e.g., hamburger steak (12-oz), pork chops, fried chicken, liver & onions, filet of sole with 8-oz rib-eye steak $9.45.

Also, when available, fish & chips and coleslaw $5.95, soups $1.75 bowl, clam chowder (Fri) $1.95. sandwiches grilled cheese $2.85, ham & egg $3.75, club with cheese & turkey $4.95, 8-oz steak on French roll $7.15.

Specials at breakfast $3.85, e.g., 2 pancakes, 1 egg, 2 strips of bacon, or hash browns, 2 eggs & toast. 3-eggs lightly whipped &fluffy, with hash brown & toast, with cheese $4.95, with ham, bell pepper, tomatoes, & mushroom $5.45.

Coffee, tea, milk, soft drinks 90 cents and $1.10. No wine or beer served.
