Good Pizzas and Italian Food in Pricey Pacific Heights!

Din'os is an airy 35-seat restaurant, with a pizza oven at the entrance. Simple decor, bare tables, clean, attentive service. Pizzas are the main dish, and are hearty. A 10" will feed two, a 12" 3, a 16" 4 persons or 3 hungry ones. Pastas, sandwiches and salads are all of the large-serving kind, some extra-large. A take-out menu has a "$2 Off" ticket on it, which you can use against any pizza or food item. Don't forget to ask for the menu and use it.

Pizzas include 10" with cheese and sauce $7.75, 12" $10.50, 16" $14.50. With one topping -- e.g., pepperoni -- 50 cents more for 10" and 12", and 75 cents more for 16". A number of combination pizzas at special prices.

Calzones with combination meat or veggies, small $9.45, medium $15.25, large $20.25.

Appetizers, $4 each, include spinach pie, meatballs, sausage. Garlic bread $1.75, garlic and cheese bread $2.25. Soup $3.00 bowl.

Pastas, rigatoni or spaghetti, served with garlic bread, choice of sauce, $7.95, with meatballs or sausage $8.95.

Salads include large antipasto $7.75 (huge serving, can be starter for 3), dinner salad $3.75, Greek salad $6.25, Veggie salad $5.25. All large portions.

Sandwiches, all $5.25, oven-roasted, served with tomato sauce, onions and garlic on request, include eggplant or chicken parmigiana, Italian sausage and cheese, meatballs and cheese, ham, avocado, and cheese, combination pastrami, ham, salami, and cheese.

House Specials, served with salad and garlic bread include chicken and mushrooms over pasta in a red sauce $9.45 Greek salad and spinach pie $8.75, pork chop with pasta and garlic bread $8.75, lasagna with meat or pesto vegetarian $9.45.

Dessert $2.75, carrot or cheesecake.

Beer and Wine, beer $3 and $3.50 bottle, $11 and $14 pitcher, wine $3.50 and $4.00 glass, $8 half-liter, $15 bottle.
