Harry's Bar

“Best pub food in San Francisco” is affordable

Harry's Bar
2000 Fillmore St (between California and Pine), 415 921-1000
11:30-2am, 365 days a year.

Harry’s is more than a bar. It is a large restaurant with a well-stocked bar, which stretches the length of the room, with 25 bar stools. It also has 60 more seats on two levels, and eight seats at outdoor tables. It has a dark blue signature-type exterior. The dining room has a bright terra-cotta ceiling, which gives the room a warm feeling. It has become a popular gathering place for the young Pacific Heights crowd who order drinks and share food. It has also become popular for diners who want good low-priced food and drink. It has been on Fillmore Street for over 20 years.

Drinks are especially low-priced during Happy Hour, Mon-Fri from 4 to 7pm, with pints of draft beer $3.00, house wine $5.00 a glass, and well drinks $4.00. This is almost half the regular price at other hours and on weekends. At these prices, one can make time between 4 and 7 pm during the week.

Food in the form of appetizers, salads, sandwiches and main courses is very affordable. The only dish above $10.00 is the 8-oz New York Strip Angus beef and fries $10.95. This can cost twice as much, or more, at specialty places. Appetizers, salads, sandwiches, and main courses are very large and can easily be shared.
