 Buildings here are 1920 vintage, clapboard houses, like you might find on a farmer’s small homestead.
The appearance belies the quality of the wines, the gourmet fare in the Garré Café, the bocce dinners, and number of weddings hosted here and at the state-of-the-art Martinelli Center (hacienda-style) on the hill behind the winery.
 Looking like a small shack, the tasting room—formerly a chicken coop—is bright, friendly.
Bob Molinaro brings deep Tuscan roots to his winemaking, naming the winery for his Italian grandmother, Rosa “Nonna” Garré. He created wine for years in friend Wayne Re’s garage until he opened Garré in 1997.
Garré is one of few California wineries to produce a classic Bordeaux blend, combining Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Petit Verdot. These grapes are grown in the same vineyard and kept together throughout the winemaking process. All of Garré grapes are either estate grown or locally sourced, allowing Garré to control the growing cycle, from irrigation and dropping fruit to deciding when to pick.
 Fascinating Fact:
The gigantic Eucalyptus tree next to the tasting room is 150-years-old.
