The Oxbow Wine Merchant & Wine Bar was started by a group of colleagues who combined decades of wine industry experience.

As individuals, their achievements include—but aren’t limited to—being a Master Sommelier, developing countless restaurant wine programs, judging national wine competitions, directing wine education programs, retail wine experience, and authoring books about wine.

When this group chooses a wine they want customers to sample, it’s worth paying attention. As their motto says: “We spit so you don’t have to.”

Open, airy, and possessing plenty of space, Oxbow Wine Merchant lets you taste and buy wines from small, artisan producers around the world (and the knowledgeable staff is always ready to help you learn about the wines).

Sip a glass of wine outside on the river-view deck, or stand at the hand-carved oak bar and chat. Order by the taste, glass, carafe, or bottle; indulge in a flight; consider taking a guided cheese & wine pairing class; or attend one of the popular evening wine (or beer) tastings.
