Small Napa Valley winery on the Silverado Trail
Napa Valley & Sonoma Wine Tasting Tours
-------------------------------------------------
Owner Thomas Baldacci, the grandson of Italian immigrants, was raised with an appreciation for wine, which was served at family meals. In 1987 he bought vineyard land in the Stag’s Leap District, viewing the purchase as a simple real estate investment.
In his first few years of ownership, the grapes grown on the property were sold to local wineries. But as time went by, Baldacci’s heritage came to the fore and his interest in making wines of his own grew.
Finally, in 2000, he and his family produced their own wine, releasing it in 2003. Today, the Baldacci Vineyards includes 17 acres of Cabernet Sauvignon vines, a system of underground caves, and a winemaking facility.
The small and intimate tasting counter provides a highly-personalized way to taste Baldacci’s wines. Guests are encouraged to visit the wine caves and crush pad, or just enjoy the views.
Fascinating Fact:
Most Baldacci wines are named for or about family members: Mathilde Pinot Noir, IV Sons Cabernet Sauvignon, Elizabeth Syrah, Frederich Gewürztraminer, and many more.
