Winery and tasting room on the Silverado Trail
Napa Valley & Sonoma Wine Tasting Tours
-------------------------------------------------
Piña Napa Valley is owned by the four Piña brothers—Larry, Davie, Randy and John.
Their Napa wine-making roots date back to the 1860s, when their great-great-great grandfather settled in the Valley, owned vineyards, and made his own wine. All the generations since have been involved in the wine industry in one way or another.
Piña Napa Valley produces a single varietal: Cabernet Sauvignon, which receives consistent ratings in the 90s.
A tasting here is not a fancy experience, but therein lies the charm. A rusty tractor greets you as you turn off the Silverado Trail and enter the driveway. The tasting “room” is located in the barrel room, which resembles a small warehouse. That’s it.
Coming to Piña is not about relaxing in an opulent setting; it’s about discovering hand-crafted, small-lot Cabernet Sauvignon that is lovingly and excellently made.
Fascinating Fact:
The Piña family has run a highly-regarded Napa Valley vineyard management company for two generations.
