Napa Valley Winery, Inn & Spa on the Silverado Trail
Napa Valley & Sonoma Wine Tasting Tours
-------------------------------------------------
When owners J-Paul and Sally Dumont purchased their 20-acre property in 1985, it was the site of a B&B named the Silver Rose. Over the next years the couple transformed the property into a luxury resort and spa complete with a conference center.
Then they turned their attention to starting a winery, which opened in 2000 and immediately began accumulating awards (more than 200 at the last counting). The entire complex is known as the Silver Rose Inn, Spa and Winery, and you can visit for an hour’s tasting or stay a few days.
The expansive, peaceful grounds are beautifully landscaped; there’s a rose garden and a lovely koi pond (it’s okay to feed the fish).
In the winery you’ll find an unusual collection of more than 100 professional and college team football helmets dating back to those old leather helmets of the1920s. The wood-beamed tasting room has large windows overlooking the vineyards.
Fascinating Fact:
The swimming pool at the Silver Rose Inn is shaped like a wine bottle.
