Napa Valley & Sonoma Wine Tasting Tours
-------------------------------------------------
Cardiologist Dr. Kosta Arger became interested in wine during his college years—so interested that he and his wife, Julie, spent their 1975 honeymoon in Napa.
He began making his own wines in 1976, which only increased his passion. Finally, in 1997, the Arger family purchased 39 acres of Napa land in the Atlas Peak district.
Around the same time, old friends of the Argers—financial expert Rich Martucci and his wife, Carol—began to purchase Napa land. In 1998 the two families decided to create Arger-Martucci Vineyards, releasing the first commercial vintage in 1999.
Drive down the quiet country road toward the casual, relaxed tasting room, grab a stool at the kitchen counter, and choose from half a dozen flights on the tasting menu.
In good weather you’ll enjoy tasting outside, sitting beside the swimming pool or under the flower-covered pergola while taking in expansive views of vineyards and the hills beyond. That comfortable feeling of being at a friend’s home has led many to say that a visit to Arger-Martucci is “how Napa wineries used to be.”
Fascinating Fact:
Kosta Arger is host of a cooking show, Healthy Cooking with Doctor Kosta and Dave. It started in Reno, and is now on certain PBS channels.
