Spend a day you'll remember for a lifetime when you combine two unique California experiences in one tour redwoods and wine. View the worlds tallest trees in Muir Woods in the morning and then visit the world famous wine country in the afternoon.
Your adventure begins with a free pick up from your hotel. We will stop at the Palace of Fine Arts for a photo opportunity before heading North across the Golden Gate Bridge on route to Muir Woods.
We wind our way along the Pacific Coast Highway through the coastal mountains near Mt. Tamalpais, the highest point in the North Bay. Maps and guides in hand we begin with a short walk in Muir Woods, a National Monument set aside in 1908 as a federally protected area. Here you will see the tallest trees on earth and a portion of a forest that used to cover large sections of the California coast.

Coastal Redwoods will be towering above you as you walk along Redwood Creek, which flows from Mt. Tamalpais. You'll have plenty of free time within the park. With something for everybody from easy to strenuous, ocean views to deep woods, the sights, sounds, and smells are sure to remind you of what the woods are all about.
Regrouping again before noon, we head for the Wine Country stopping for a short break in the historic town square of Sonoma and a chance to visit the Sonoma Jack Cheese Factory.
After the lunch break you'll visit 2-3 wineries for tasting in the famous Sonoma and/or Napa Valleys. If you're over 21, you'll have the opportunity to taste a wide variety of whites, reds, and dessert wines whatever's your fancy at such places as Viansa, Cline, Homewood and Benziger Family Wineries.

You'll also have a chance to see the beautiful valleys that have been supplying California, and now the world, with fantastic wines for over 60 years. The scenery of the rolling hills and the rows and rows of trellised wine grapes will amaze you as well as provide great snapshots.
