Whitewater River Rafting Tour From San Francisco
The South Fork of the American River, in Northern California's Gold Country, is one of the most popular white water river rafting destinations in the U.S.
Close enough to San Francisco for a day trip, you can be shooting the rapids in before lunch and then be back in the City-by-the-Bay for dinner.
Your adventure will begin as you board a 15 passenger van or mini-bus at your hotel in SF. You will cross the Golden Gate Bridge and pass Sacramento, California's capitol, on your way to River Camp to gear up in preparation for your exhilarating raft ride through the rapids on the scenic South Fork of the American River. During calmer moments you can enjoy the beauty of the Sierra Nevada Foothills.
Remember to not bring any valuable items on the raft, but do bring a change of clothes along, because you are going to get wet!
Once back at River Camp you'll have an opportunity to meet other outdoor adventure lovers while you enjoy the provided lunch, take a dip in the pool, play volleyball, stroll down to James Marshall Gold Discovery State Park and Sutter's Mill, or just relax in the sun.
This Class III River Rafting White Water Adventure is perfect for the whole family. Appropriate for first-time river rafter novices but also exciting for veteran thrill-seekers.
